Jasmine Jasudavicius has title aspirations on the mind against Jessica Andrade at UFC 315
MONTREAL – Jasmine Jasudavicius met the media Wednesday ahead of her fight at UFC 315.
Jasudavicius (13-3 MMA, 7-2 UFC) takes on Jessica Andrade (26-13 MMA, 17-11 UFC) in a women's flyfight fight on the preliminary card card at Bell Centre in Montreal. At media day, Andrade took questions from media members before her fight.
Jasudavicius is on a 4-0 run in the UFC, inlcuding two brilliant choke finishes – both of which picked her up an extra $50,000 in the form of post-fight bonuses. THe first of those wins came at bantamweight, but she's been perfect back down at flyweight and thinks a win over a former strawweight champion in Andrade could catapult her to a title shot at flyweight.
"She's got crazy accolades. I want to become the best in the world," Jasudavicius said at Wednesday's media day. "I'm chasing that title and I understand I have to beat someone like her in order to get there.
"… I actually do feel the buzz around me. I can see it on my social media, and I do feel that. I'm trying to stay off it a little bit so I'm not drinking my own Kool-Aid. I want to come into the fight with the right mindset and leave it out there. It is really cool to have all this hype, and I'm definitely blessed. I appreciate it – I want to show well and try not to swear, but I have fun with the media. I actually really enjoy it."
