Jaylen Carey injury update: Tennessee forward available vs Georgia

ATHENS, GA - Tennessee basketball forward Jaylen Carey is expected to play for the Vols in their game at Georgia on Jan. 28.
Carey, who was listed as probable with a knee injury, has been cleared as Tennessee (13-6, 3-3 SEC) visits the Bulldogs (16-4, 4-3) at Stegeman Coliseum (7 p.m. EST, SEC Network) on Jan. 28.
UT freshman guard Troy Henderson was ruled out on Jan. 27.
Carey hyperextended his left knee in the second half of Tennessee's 79-73 win over Alabama on Jan. 24.
The junior averages 8.8 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 18.5 minutes per game for the Vols.
Carey is slotted in as the Vols' third front court member and one of the first players off the bench behind the starting J.P. Estrella and Felix Okpara against the Tide.
Henderson will miss his second straight game with a left shoulder injury he sustained at practice.
Henderson was on track to crack to guard rotation after logging 22 minutes and making clutch plays in Tennessee's double overtime win over Texas A&M on Jan. 13. He played just six minutes in the loss against Kentucky and missed the Vols' most recent game at Alabama.
