Jeff Ratcliffe’s Best NFL Bets Week 14
Some weeks you stare at the board, and nothing jumps out. This is not one of those weeks. The matchups line up. The usage lines up. And a few numbers look soft enough that we can jump in with confidence. Week 14 gives us a handful of players trending up at the exact right time, so let’s dig into the spots that stand out the most.
Breece Hall – Over 69.5 rushing yards (-115)
There is not much to love about the Jets right now, but Hall is the exception. He is their offense. Over his last five games, he’s averaging 17.6 carries and 77.2 rushing yards. That level of volume gives us a strong floor, and now he gets a Dolphins defense that has been extremely friendly to running backs. Miami allows 109.0 rushing yards per game to the position, which is fifth-most in the league. Hall should run right through this number.
Chase Brown – 75+ rushing & receiving yards (-115)
Here’s a hack. Brown’s regular rushing plus receiving line is 76.5 at a price of -140 on the over. Yet this alternate number is 75 or more yards at -115. Take the cheaper tag. And the best part is he’s been smashing lately. Brown has topped 100 scrimmage yards in six straight games and is averaging 114.5 per game over that stretch. He’s become one of the most consistent producers in football. If you want to push it, he is +230 to clear 100 scrimmage yards again.
Harold Fannin Jr. – Over 36.5 receiving yards (-110)
The rookie tight end has been one of the Browns’ few bright spots. He enters the week eighth among tight ends in receptions with 51 and has found instant chemistry with Shedeur Sanders. In Sanders’ two starts, Fannin has posted 40 and 43 receiving yards. That puts him right in the sweet spot for this number. The Titans are a matchup he can take advantage of, and his role is only growing. If you want a little extra juice, he is +333 for an anytime touchdown.
D’Andre Swift – Over 45.5 rushing yards (-115)
Swift has been the engine of the run game since early October. He has topped this line in five of his last seven games and is fresh off a massive 125-yard performance against the Eagles. Yes, he shares the backfield with Kyle Monangai, but Swift is still averaging 14.5 carries per game. Green Bay is a solid run defense on paper, but at least one running back has gone over this number against the Packers in six of their last seven games. Another small hack here. Swift is -125 to go for 50 or more rushing yards, so this 45.5 line at -115 is the better play.
These four lines all line up for the right reasons. Strong workloads. Friendly matchups. Clean paths to overs. No overthinking this one. Week 14 shapes up nicely for these players to keep producing, and the numbers give us a little room to work with. Let’s get that money.
