Jets' Armand Membou compared to longtime NFL star on O-line

The New York Jets landed Missouri offensive lineman Armand Membou with their top selection at No. 7 overall at the 2025 NFL draft.

Early on and even before he has played a game, there is praise from ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler.

Following the draft, the outlet's top insiders made predictions relating the the recent draft. Fowler used his on the Jets and Membou.

Fowler said he sees some Jason Peters in Membou.

Peters is not only a praised NFL player for his play as a twice first-team All-Pro, he has elite longevity. A likely Hall of Famer, Peters took a much different route to the NFL than Membou as an undrafted rookie and former tight end, but he has been a pro from 2004 to 2024.

That's some career.

If Membou turns out to be a nine-time Pro Bowler like Peters? The Jets will be plenty happy.

Fowler's breakdown on Peters can be found below:

Jeremy Fowler, national NFL reporter: Armand Membou will establish himself as a premier right tackle early. Membou has the traits and the demeanor to solidify the Jets' line. A few scouts I trust have compared his length and play style to a young Jason Peters.
