New York Jets running back Breece Hall has continued to make some weird comments about his future in East Rutherford.
It's evident that Hall wants to be paid like one of the top running backs in the NFL, but unfortunately for the Iowa State product, there just isn't much of a reason for the Jets to give him the money he's looking for at the moment.
With how bad the Jets have played over the past few years, it makes a lot more sense to just trade Hall and figure something else out at running back. The Jets have not put themselves in a position to have the luxury of paying a running back.
Examining a trade, it was recently proposed that he could be moved to the Baltimore Ravens. On the surface, Hall might not love that either, given Derrick Henry is in front of him, but Henry is only getting older, and Hall could work out of the passing game with Lamar Jackson as well.
“They don’t need a running back like Breece Hall, but there are plenty of other teams who do. Luckily for the Jets, there aren’t really good running backs available on the free agent market, and this draft class really only has two good running backs (Jeremiyah Love and Jadarian Price). That means that after those two guys get picked, the price for tradable running backs is going to go up (it’s a supply and demand thing). The Jaguars have a couple of third, fifth, and seventh-round picks they could move on from.
"The Ravens have four fifth-round picks, and Derrick Henry’s not getting any younger. The Steelers have those three thirds and two fourths they could move,” Jack Beckman of FanSided wrote.
The Jets aren't in a position to send any player on their roster to a team they want to play for. That's an unfortunate reality as well, so whoever has the best package should be where the Jets send him. If that's the Ravens, then so be it.
