Joel Embiid not playing back-to-back games

Chris Haynes: Joel Embiid, he's been looking good in practice. People that I've spoke spoken with, have said he's turning the corner, and he's turned the corner so much, and before I get to that real quick again Embiid went through a surgical procedure in April, left knee, and that is something that's been problematic for the last couple of years, but for him, but he's turned the corner, and sources related to me that he might make his preseason debut tomorrow as well, against the Minnesota Timberwolves. And now I want to say this one, because I want to caution people when you're talking about Embiid. So then it does look good for him making the season opener, but when he does return, I am told that he will be on a tight schedule. So just because when he returns, it doesn't mean that he's going to be an everyday available player, they're going to be very cautious throughout the rest of the season with him. Q. That makes sense, especially given the catalog of what you said in the injuries there last season Embiid did not play back to back. Will he be allowed to play in that cadence, given the schedule he's going to be… Haynes: Based off of what I'm hearing right now, I'll be very surprised if he's playing them back to back. They made it very clear to me. Make it clear he will be on a very tight schedule. They will be cautious with him throughout the rest of the season.
