The Blues are expected to be busy in the summer after having a very quiet January window, with a number of positions needing to be addressed.
Chelsea are thought to still be in the market for a centre back, whilst they reportedly want to sign another midfielder and attacker.
John Obi Mikel compares Morgan Rogers to Dele Alli
The Blues already have winger Geovany Quenda and striker Emmanuel Emegha arriving from Sporting Lisbon and Strasbourg respectively at the end of the season.
Chelsea have been linked with teenage winger Said El Mala, but the big name many fans would like to see join is Rogers.
Ben Jacobs has stated Rogers is the name he’s heard in connection with Chelsea, but any move would likely cost the Blues a lot of money.
Whether the Blues sign Rogers or not, Mikel has said he’s a fan of the player, and compared him to a prime Dele Alli at Tottenham.
“I hear the stories about Dele Alli, it’s sort of a sad story because we know how good he was and he is and he can be,” he told The Obi One Podcast.
“Obviously, he’s going through so much. You know who Dele Alli reminds me of? Morgan Rogers that plays for Aston Villa right now. Same kind of player, Morgan Rogers.
“When you see him play, it reminds me of Dele Alli, the way they glide when they run past players is just absolutely fantastic to watch both of them.
“So for me, Morgan Rogers is that guy that reminds me of Dele Alli.”
Cole Palmer form a concern?
Whilst Chelsea may move for Rogers, a more immediate concern is the form of Cole Palmer, who’s struggled since returning from injury.

Fabrizio Romano does not sound convinced that Chelsea wont sack Liam Rosenior
The England international missed virtually the entire first half of the season, and has had some good moments, but currently he’s nowhere the level we all know he’s capable of.
Liam Rosenior needs to find a way to get Palmer back to near his best over the last eight games, otherwise Chelsea could miss out on Champions League football.
