Jordan Beck records five-hit game against Astros
Houston (51-34) and Colorado (19-66) opened a three-game series on Tuesday. Houston defeated the Rockies, 6-5, at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado.
Former Vol Jordan Beck started in left field for the Rockies and recorded a five-hit game. He went 5-for-5 and totaled one double and one run. Beck has hit 17 doubles in 2025, while recording a .274 batting average, 10 home runs, 28 RBIs and a .806 on-base plus slugging percentage.
Former Tennessee pitcher Chase Dollander (2-9) started for Colorado against the Astros. He pitched 2.2 innings and recorded one strikeout. Dollander allowed seven hits, one home run, six runs (six earned) and two walks. The former Vol totaled 69 pitches, including 45 strikes, against 16 batters.
Game 2 between the Rockies and Astros is slated for 8:40 p.m. EDT on Wednesday. The series finale is scheduled for Thursday at 3:10 p.m. EDT and will be televised by MLB Network.
