Koi Perich, A'Mauri Washington appear on On3's 2026 All-American team

With spring practices still over a month away, we're entering a few dead weeks in college football. With that comes way-too-early rankings, as On3 released their way-too-early All-American team for the 2026 season.

No surprise, the Oregon Ducks were represented on the list with two players: defensive tackle A'Mauri Washington and safety Koi Perich.

Though Washington didn't make an All-American team in 2025, he was a force in the middle of the Ducks' defense and garnered heavy draft buzz. He was widely projected to be a first-round pick in 2026 and challenge to be the top defensive tackle selected before he made the decision to return to Eugene for one more season.

The 6-foot-3, 330-pounders' stats aren't gaudy, as he totaled 33 tackles and 1.5 sacks, but his consistant push on the interior made life for opposing quarterbacks very tough. He also got his hands up in the pass game, tying for the team-lead with seven pass deflections.

Meanwhile, Perich is sort of an unknown as a Duck. He spent the first two seasons of his career with the Minnesota Golden Gophers, where he quickly emerged as a star and one of the most dynamic players in all of college football.

He transferred to Oregon and will likely fill Dillon Thieneman's spot, operating at all parts of the field. Perich is an absolute ball-hawk, as he registered six interceptions over his two seasons with the Golden Gophers. Last season he was also a magnet to the ball from his safety position, registering 82 tackles and a forced fumble.

In defensive coordinator Chris Hampton's defense, which is expected to be similar to that of former DC Tosh Lupoi's defense, Perich will be deployed all over the field. Thieneman did exactly that and was named a second-team All-American — something Perich is expected to surpass, per On3's first-team All-American team.

With the talent coming back next in 2026, it wouldn't be a surprise to see both Washington and Perich be joined by others on similar lists as the season gets closer.
