Kyle Kirkwood wins IndyCar race at Arlington in 2026, full results

The NTT IndyCar Series competed in Arlington and it was a thrilling show. Marcus Ericsson started from the pole and led the first stint; however, Alex Palou was able to stretch out a long lead after the first pit stops. However, Palou didn't enter victory lane, as an Andretti Global driver took control of the race.

Kyle Kirkwood and the No. 27 team for Andretti Global won the inaugural race in Arlington, earning their first victory of the 2026 IndyCar season. Kirkwood had an incredible No. 27 car, as he pushed Palou to his limits on the hard tires. The Andretti Global driver passed Palou in shocking fashion and created a gap.

Kirkwood has been labeled the "King of Street Courses," as five of his six career wins have come on this style of racing. It was exciting to race on the Streets of Arlington, and IndyCar is already excited about the future. For now, Kirkwood is proving he can battle Palou for the 2026 IndyCar championship.
