Lady Vols basketball projected to face Audi Crooks in NCAA Tournament

The Lady Vols (16-13, 8-8 SEC) await their NCAA Tournament opponent in the first round after being eliminated from the SEC women's basketball tournament second round.

Ahead of Sunday's SEC Tournament championship between South Carolina and Texas (3 p.m. EDT, ESPN), Charlie Creme of ESPN released updated women’s basketball bracketology for the 2026 NCAA Tournament.

Tennessee is projected as a No. 8 seed and would open tournament play in Los Angeles, California.

The Lady Vols are projected to face No. 9 seed Iowa State in the first round. The winner would advance to play either No. 1 seed UCLA or No. 16 seed California Baptist in the second round.

Iowa State is led by junior center Audi Crooks. She is averaging 25.5 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game for the Cyclones.

Selection Sunday is scheduled for March 15 at 8 p.m. EDT (ESPN). The Final Four will be contested April 3-5 at Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
