Landon Harmon, East Union and Mississippi State signee, picked by Washington Nationals in 2025 MLB Draft

East Union baseball star and Mississippi State baseball signee Landon Harmon has been selected No. 80 overall by the Washington Nationals in the third round of the 2025 MLB Draft on July 13.
Harmon was rated as MLB.com's No. 48 prospect entering the draft. The 6-foot-5, 190-pound right-handed pitcher was named to the Clarion Ledger's All-State first team and was a 2025 Dandy Dozen selection. He was also selected as MHSAA's Class 2A Mr. Baseball.
The pick has a $1,010,600 slot value.
Harmon has impressed scouts with his ability to control the strike zone and strong delivery for his size. He can reach his fastball to 99 mph, but sits at around 93-96. This past season, he helped East Union win the MHSAA 2A state title game, the Urchins' second title in three years.
