Lions highlight: David Montgomery’s house call seals the victory in Baltimore
The rushing attack for the Lions was a force Monday night against the Baltimore Ravens. It’s only fitting that the ground game helped seal the deal for Detroit Monday night.
Following a huge fourth-down conversion, David Montgomery broke free for a 31-yard touchdown run to give the Lions a 38-24 lead with 1:46 left.
Interestingly enough, quarterback Jared Goff was seen trying to tell Montgomery to get down before reaching the end zone. But he’ll gladly take a 14-point lead late over an AFC contender.
The score for Montgomery means both Sonic and Knuckles, aka Jahmyr Gibbs and Montgomery, each have two rushing touchdowns.
