Lions injury report: Detroit releases inactives vs. Minnesota Vikings

The Detroit Lions (8-7) seek revenge against the Minnesota Vikings (7-8) from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minn., in a Christmas Day matchup that pits two NFC North rivals against one another.

In the two teams' first meeting on Nov. 2, the Vikings won 27-24 as Minnesota starting quarterback J.J. McCarthy threw a pair of touchdown passes and ran for another. McCarthy won't play in this holiday showdown, though, as he's one of the Vikings inactives with a hairline fracture in his throwing hand.

The Vikings will turn to rookie undrafted quarterback Max Brosmer in McCarthy's stead. As kickoff arrives, both teams released their lists of inactives.
