In a repeat of last summer’s Club World Cup final the Blues will face the Champions League holders in the last 16 of the competition.
It’s the first time the two teams have met in the competition since the 2015/2016 season, and it’s sure to be a mouth watering occasion.
Owen Hargreaves thinks Liam Rosenior has plan for PSG
The first leg takes places on Wednesday in Paris with the second leg taking place at Stamford Bridge on March 17th.
Luis Enrique has insisted his side aren’t out for revenge, and this will arguably be Rosenior’s biggest test as Chelsea head coach.
Rosenior actually knows PSG well having coming up against them on multiple occasions during his time at Strasbourg, and Hargreaves thinks he holds the key against the French giants.
“Liam knows, he’s played them three times last season, drew one, lost one, and won one. And that was with Strasbourg, so imagine he’s got much better players now,” he told TNT Sports.
“Cole Palmer, Estevao, Neto, and Joao Pedro, Andrey Santos, who I think is a terrific player, obviously Caicedo, and I think Liam will have a little plan.”
PSG handed advantage by Ligue 1
With the second leg at home Chelsea need to make sure they are still in the tie, or even better take an advantage back to Stamford Bridge.
PSG have been given a massive helping hand by Ligue 1 with their game against Nantes moved to April to give them extra time to prepare for the second leg.
