Masters Cut Line Updates
Heading into Friday's second round at Augusta National, the cut line for the 2026 Masters is at +3. Following the opening round there are 55 golfers at +3 or better.
The most notable golfer outside the current +3 cut line is LIV and YouTube superstar Bryson DeChambeau (+4) who will have some work to do Friday afternoon in order to make it to the weekend. DeChambeau drilled a patron with a tee shot on the sixth hole and later had a disastrous three-shot escape from a green-side bunker on the 11th hole.
Conditions are expected to be hard and fast for Round 2, which will likely lead to a final cut number of +4 or +5. Big names like DeChambeau, Bubba Watson (+4), and Jon Rahm (+6) will all have their work cut out for them on Friday.

Masters cut rule
The cut rule at the Masters last year was the Top 50 golfers plus ties, and the same cut rule will apply for the 2026 Masters tournament.
In 2020, the committee changed its longstanding cut rule where only the Top 50 players in the Masters field and ties advanced to Round 3 and 4. Previously, the rule stated that the Top 50 and anyone within 10 strokes of the lead made the cut.
Making changes to the cut line has been a part of the history of the Masters. The cut was first instituted in 1957 and was the Top 40 and ties until 1961. From 1962-2012, it was expanded to the Top 44 and those within 10 strokes of the leader. In 2013, it was expanded to Top 44 and those within 10 shots.
