Meet the 12 LIV Golf players competing at the 2025 Masters at Augusta National
For the second straight year, Joaquin Niemann is off to the Masters with a special invitation.
Fred Ridley, the chairman of Augusta National Golf Club, announced in February that Niemann and Nicolai Hojgaard would receive special exemptions to compete in the 2025 Masters, which begins April 10.
“In support of Augusta National’s efforts to develop interest in golf globally, deserving international players not otherwise qualified have been invited throughout the Tournament’s history,” Ridley said in a release. “The tradition continues as we welcome Nicolai and Joaquin back to the Masters, as both players have showcased their talent while competing around the world. We look forward to their arrival this April.”
Last year, Hojgaard finished T-16 in his debut at Augusta National and momentarily held the lead during the third round. Hojgaard's twin brother, Rasmus, will make his debut this spring, and it will be the first time in Masters history twins will compete in the same tournament.
