Mets announce lineup for Monday's game vs Atlanta Braves
NEW YORK − The Mets could use their home crowd now more than ever as they return home following a painstaking 1-5 road trip against the Braves and Phillies.
After being swept by the Braves across three games last week, the Mets will welcome those same National League East foes for a four-game series beginning with Monday's series finale at 7:10 p.m. at Citi Field.
The Mets were able to snap their seven-game losing streak with an offensive explosion that included seven solo home runs on Saturday, but followed that up with a 7-1 loss to the Phillies on Sunday night.
The series loss moved the Mets a game back of the Phillies for first place in the NL East.
On the mound Monday for the Mets, Paul Blackburn will be looking to bounce back after allowing four runs (three earned) in 3⅔ innings in a loss to the Braves last Wednesday. The Braves will counter with Spencer Schwellenbach, who received a no-decision, allowing four earned runs in seven innings in his team's 5-4 extra-inning win on June 16.
As the Mets and Braves prepare to square off for the fourth time in a little more than a week, here are the lineups for Monday's game at Citi Field:
