Miami Dolphins lose key players to injury in disastrous first half vs. Indianapolis Colts

The Miami Dolphins have lost a pair of key players early in the 2025 NFL regular season opener against the Indianapolis Colts.
Offensive lineman James Daniels and defensive back Storm Duck suffered injuries in the first half on Sept. 7 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Their status to return is uncertain.
The Indianapolis Colts lead the Miami Dolphins 20-0 at halftime.
Daniels suffered a pectoral injury in the first quarter and left the game. He entered Sunday questionable to play with an ankle injury.
Duck suffered an ankle injury in the second quarter. He walked off the field with assistance but was later carted to the locker room.
The loss of Duck, who was in coverage for a Colts passing touchdown in the first half, adds further pressure on a thin Dolphins secondary, which lost Jalen Ramsey this offseason.
