Mics picked up Patrick Mahomes complaining about play call as a brilliant fake-out
While the Chiefs haven't been quite as creative as they used to be offensively, we should never underestimate Andy Reid's play-calling shenanigans.
We saw exactly why on Sunday.
At the start of the second quarter in the Chiefs' Week 7 matchup with the Raiders, Patrick Mahomes and the offense lined up to go for it on fourth-and-one. Mahomes went into a hard count to seemingly attempt to draw the Raiders offsides, and then he gave up to loudly complain, "This (expletive) never (expletive) works, man."
It was all a ruse! The Chiefs then snapped the ball and picked up the first down. Warning: NSFW language in the video.
Patrick Mahomes fools both Tony Romo and the Raiders.
"This f*cking never f*cking works."

The Chiefs have never been more back.
