Minnesota Golden Gophers in the NFL: Week 3

Week 3 was a better week for the former Gopher stars in the NFL. Rashod Bateman and Antoine Winfield Jr both had their best games of the season. Max Brosmer made his NFL debut! But the injury bug his again with Ko Kieft breaking his leg and will miss the rest of the season. Here is the full recap of how the Gophers did in Week 3.

Baltimore Ravens

Week 3 Vs Detroit Lions—Monday Night
Week 4 @ Kansas City Chiefs

Rashod Bateman WR

Bateman had his best game of the season by far in the ravens close loss to Detroit. He played 34 snaps or 60% of the Ravens offensive plays. He was targeted seven times and made five catches for 63 yards and his first touchdown of the season. He had yet to drop a pass on the season.

Daniel Faalele RG

Faalele started at right guard and played all 57 snaps on offense and another four on special teams. He had his best game of the season not even giving up a pressure to the Lions on Sunday night.

Dallas Cowboys

Week3 @ Chicago Bears
Week 4 vs Green Bay Packers—Sunday Night

Brevyn Span-Ford TE

Span-Ford played 15 snaps on offense and another 10 on special teams in the Cowboys loss to the Bears in Chicago. He did not record a stat in the game.

Houston Texans

Week 3 @ Jacksonville Jaguars
Week 4 vs Tennessee Titans

Aireontae Ersery— LT

Ersery started at left tackle and played all 63 offensive snaps and three on special teams in loss to Jacksonville that dropped the Texans to a disappointing 0-3 on the season. .He had a bad game playing like a rookie. Ersery committed three penalties and allowed one sack, three hurries, and five pressures. Not great.  

Jacksonville Jaguars

Week 3 vs Houston Texans
Week 4 @ San Francisco 49ers

Eric Murray S

Murray started at safety and played 56 defensive snaps and added five more on special teams in the Week 3 win over Houston. He made four tackles, two of them solo.

Danny Striggow DE

Striggow was inactive for the third week in a row.

Los Angeles Chargers

Week 3 vs Denver Broncos
Week 4 @ New York Giants

Benjamin St. Juste CB

St. Juste played 27 defensive snaps and 23 special teams snaps in the win over Denver to move to 3-0. He had two tackles, one of them solo and added a pass breakup.

Las Vegas Raiders

Week 3 @ Washington Commanders
Week 4 vs Chicago Bears

Cody Lindenberg LB

Lindenberg played 29 snaps on special teams. He did not record a stat.

Minnesota Vikings

Cashman is on IR and did not play.

Max Brosmer QB

Welcome to the NFL Max Brosmer! The Vikings blowout win over Atlanta granted the opportunity for Brosmer to make his NFL debut. He went 2-4 for 29 yards in his limited passing attempts. He mostly just handed the ball off. The best play was a nice screen pass to Xavier Scott for a gain of 20 yards on third and long to officially ice the game.

New England Patriots

Jack Gibbens LB

Gibbens played 24 snaps on defense and 15 on special teams for the Patriots in their loss to Pittsburgh. He made one solo tackle and it was for a loss.

New Orleans Saints

Week 3 @ Seattle Seahawks
Week 4 @ Buffalo Bills

Jordan Howden S

Howden played four snaps on defense and 18 on special teams in the loss to Seattle. He recorded three tackles, one of them solo.

New York Giants

Week 3 vs Kansas City Chiefs—Sunday Night

John Michael Schmitz C

Schmitz started at center and played all 66 offensive snaps for the Giants in their loss to Kansas City to fall to 0-3. He gave up three hurries.

Tyler Nubin S

Nubin played 70 defensive snaps and nine on special teams snaps for the Giants. He recorded five tackles, all of them solo and one for a loss.

New York Jets

Johnson played 48 offensive snaps in the crushing loss to Tampa. He was targeted three times and made two catches for 32 yards.

Boye Mafe OLB

Mafe played just 29 snaps on defense and two more on special teams in Seattle’s Week 3 thrashing of New Orleans. He had one QB hit.

Kallerup was inactive for the Seahawks again in Week 3.

Antoine Winfield Jr S

Winfield played all 69 Buccaneer defensive snaps in the win over Atlanta. He had a typical Winfield game two three tackles, two of them solo, two for a loss, two QB hits, one sack, and one forced fumble. Yeah that will do.

Ko Kieft TE

Kieft played 16 snaps on offense and 24 on special teams for the Bucs. Unfortunately he broke his left leg in the fourth quarter of the game against the Jets after getting rolled up from behind by a defender while run blocking and was put on season ending Injured Reserve. He made a pair to tackles before his injury.
