Minnesota Vikings, Wilf Family donate to rescue and recovery efforts in Texas

The Minnesota Vikings are helping with recovery and rescue efforts in the floods that have hit Texas over the past week. The Wilf family said they are donating $500,000 to Kerr County and the Texas Hill Country.

"We are deeply saddened by the continued devastation and loss of life in the Texas Hill Country and can't imagine the pain so many are experiencing," Mark, Zygi and Leonard Wilf said in a statement Wednesday. "We are praying for peace for the families who have lost a loved one and strength for those who continue to risk their lives leading the rescue and recovery effort."

The NFL Foundation, along with the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans, donated a total of $1.5 million. Other sports teams in various leagues have also joined the NFL in helping the Kerr County area in its recovery efforts.
