Three winner-take-all games are on tap Thursday as an already fascinating MLB postseason moves ahead.
The defending World Series champion Dodgers were the only team to advance past the Wild Card series on Wednesday, completing a cursory two-game sweep of the Reds to set up a tantalizing NLDS against the Phillies.
The other three Division Series matchups will be determined by Thursday's do-or-die games, which could produce a first since the postseason switched to the current format in 2022. Including this year's Dodgers, the Game 1 winner is 13-0 in the Wild Card series. The Guardians, Padres and Yankees will try to buck that trend today as the Tigers, Cubs and Red Sox attempt to keep the streak alive.
