MSU CB Malcolm Bell one of the Big Ten's best in one key statistic

Quite frankly, it has been a year to forget for Michigan State football, who is sitting at 3-7 heading into a trip to Iowa City. While not going their way, the Spartans team continues to fight, and play their hearts out.

One player that is playing his heart out is Malcolm Bell, who is excelling in his first year in East Lansing, following his transfer from UConn.

Bell, along with the MSU defense is showing steady improvement throughout the year, despite some less than ideal circumstances. One stat shows Bell's performance being very good.

Out of all the cornerbacks in the Big Ten, Bell ranks third in forced incompletion rate. He is forcing passes his way to be incomplete at a 22.7% clip, showing his coverage skills. Only Brandon Finney Jr. of Oregon (25.0%) and Davison Igbinosun of Ohio State (22.9%) rank ahead of the Michigan State cornerback.
