NASCAR Las Vegas predictions 2026, expert picks for Cup Series race
The NASCAR Cup Series stays out west in Las Vegas for the Pennzoil 400 on March 15.
Hendersonville native Josh Berry is the defending race winner, but he has largely struggled since last spring. Berry enters the weekend at 31st in the points through four races.
Last week, Ryan Blaney won at Phoenix. Blaney has the best average finish at Las Vegas among active drivers who have not won at the 1.5-mile track.
Here are The Tennessean's expert picks for Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series race at Las Vegas:
NASCAR predictions for Las Vegas Cup Series race: Here's who wins the Pennzoil 400
Mike Organ's pick: Kyle Larson, No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet
I was on a Zoom call earlier this week with Larson as he talked about how strong his team has been in the past at Vegas and how confident he is heading to the 1.5-mile track this year.
Nick Gray's pick: Ryan Blaney, No. 12 Team Penske Ford
Blaney earns his second win in two weeks at a track that Penske drivers have had plenty of success over the past decade.
Tom Kreager's pick: Denny Hamlin, No. 11 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota
Toyota has won three of four races. Sure, those wins are all by Tyler Reddick of 23XI Racing, but Hamlin has a win and four top-10 finishes in Vegas since 2023. He keeps a strong Toyota season going.
