Nebraska volleyball remains No. 1 in latest AVCA/TARAFLEX rankings
The Nebraska volleyball team (12-0) remained ranked as the No. 1 team in the nation in the latest edition of the AVCA/TARAFLEX Division I Women’s Volleyball Poll, receiving 57 of a possible 61 first-place votes. The No. 2 Texas Longhorns (10-0) received the other four remaining first-place votes.
The Huskers are coming off a 3-0 victory over Maryland last Saturday. The Huskers hit .360 and held the Terrapins to .090.
Harper Murray leads the Nebraska offense with an average of 3.71 kills per set while hitting .288. Setter Bergen Reilly averages 9.60 assists per set and a team high 3.00 digs per set. Rebekah Allick and Andi Jackson lead the defense with 1.22 blocks and 1.05 blocks per set, respectively.
The Nebraska Cornhuskers continue Big Ten play on Friday when they face the Penn State Nittany Lions at Rec Hall. The match is scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m. CT and can be seen on Fox.
