New York Giants OTAs: Sights and sounds from practice No. 6

The New York Giants crossed the halfway mark of organized team activities (OTAs) on Thursday with practice No. 6.

Before taking the field, assistant head coach/offensive coordinator Mike Kafka, defensive coordinator Shane Bowen, special teams coordinator Michael Ghobrial, and head coach Brian Daboll all met with reporters.

Most of the talking points were generic and didn't map out the team's long-term plans. The most notable takeaway was that there's likely to be a kicking competition between Graham Gano and Jude McAtamney.

The Giants will be off for several days before returning to practice on Monday, June 9. Their remaining OTA schedule is as follows:

  • June 9-10
  • June 12-13

Attendance remained at 100 percent but there were several players, including wide receiver Malik Nabers and rookie running back Cam Skattebo, who were not practicing.

Here's a quick look at some of the sights and sounds from OTA practice No. 6.

Daboll was forced to end practice early after a brawl broke out involving at least four players. No video of the fighting is available.
