New York Giants' Russell Wilson likens Wan'Dale Robinson to 3-time All-Pro

The New York Giants had quite an impressive performance on offense in their Week 2 overtime loss at the hands of the Dallas Cowboys.

Quarterback Russell Wilson had one of the best games of his career, throwing for 450 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception. Wilson connected with Malik Nabers and Wan'Dale Robinson early and often on Sunday to help put together an offensive masterpiece

Robinson's involvement in the Giants' offense has been a surprise two games into the 2025 season. Wilson praised the wideout on Wednesday, not only calling him a superstar but comparing him to one of Wilson's favorite targets during his days with the Seattle Seahawks.

"Wan'Dale's a superstar, man. I just love how he competes. I love how he plays the game; he sees the game well. He's like a quarterback out there playing receiver," he told reporters on Wednesday. "He understands everything. He understands his route concepts and where to be, and just has a great feel for the game. I also think he's got this tenacity to him that we love. He's a special player.

"He reminds me a lot of Tyler Lockett. I think Tyler was a guy who loved the game, saw the game well, and had a great feel for space. Tyler's one of my favorite all-time people and also one of my favorite guys I’ve ever gotten to play with. I remember going to Tyler's wedding and just the closeness of that. I think Wan'Dale has a very similar nature in terms of his love for his teammates, his love for the game, the experience that he's getting every day being out there. I think that's pretty cool to see."

Wilson also said Robinson is somewhat like Calvin Austin.

It was expected that the Giants would be throwing to Malik Nabers down the field, given Wilson's deep ball playing ability. However, it appears that Wilson may have unlocked a new part of Robinson's game with the deep ball.

Robinson had the best game of his career on Sunday, hauling in eight catches on 10 targets for 142 yards and a touchdown.

Robinson is an unrestricted free agent at the conclusion of this season. As the Giants consider how they are going to build the offense around Jaxson Dart moving forward, Robinson could be a nice building block if he continues to improve.
