New York Giants training camp: Sights and sounds from Day 10

After a well-deserved day off, the New York Giants returned to the practice field on Monday at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center in East Rutherford.

With the heat index climbing into the 90s and wildfire smoke filtering down from Canada, it was not the ideal outdoor environment, but the Giants persisted nonetheless. As did head coach Brian Daboll, who met with reporters in the fieldhouse before practice.

Daboll said that wide receivers Darius Slayton and Beaux Collins would be limited in practice, and that there were no other injury updates to be had. Rookie running back Cam Skattebo is progressing, but there is no timetable for his return.

"Getting better," Dabes said of Skattebo, adding that the MRI was encouraging.

Following the birth of his second daughter, veteran offensive lineman Greg Van Roten also returned to practice. He remains in a battle for the starting right guard spot with Evan Neal.
