New York Jets and Allen Lazard are no more after three seasons
The New York Jets and Allen Lazard are no more.
Lazard, 30, was released on Tuesday. The wide receiver had three disappointing seasons in New York:
We've released WR Allen Lazard.
We also signed LB Ochaun Mathis to the practice squad and released QB Adrian Martinez from the practice squad.

Lazard had only 10 catches for 70 yards and a touchdown this season while playing in just 10 games. Lazard was buried on the team's depth chart in 2025.
Lazard signed a four-year deal ahead of the 2023 season worth $44 million. The idea was reuniting him with former quarterback Aaron Rodgers but injuries for both of them got in the way of that.
Jets Wire will continue to provide updates throughout the 2025 season.
