NFL analyst boldly picks a Rams WR to win Offensive Player of the Year, but which one?

It takes a remarkably great season for someone to win Offensive Player of the Year, as we’ve seen in recent seasons from Saquon Barkley, Christian McCaffrey, Justin Jefferson and former Los Angeles Rams receiver Cooper Kupp.

The award typically goes to the best non-quarterback and one NFL analyst believes the Rams have someone capable of winning it. FOX Sports’ Eric Williams picked Davante Adams to win Offensive Player of the Year in 2025, thinking outside the box with his prediction.

He thinks Adams is poised for a big season in his first year with the Rams, capturing one of the most coveted awards in the game.

The 32-year-old Adams, a California native, looks recharged in his return to the West Coast. He’s been one of the most explosive players on the field for the Rams during training camp. Adams remains one of the best route-runners in the game and should see favorable coverage with Puka Nacua getting a lot of attention on the other side of the formation. Look for Rams coach Sean McVay to devise creative ways to create separation for Adams for big plays down the field. The Fresno State product should flourish in McVay’s offense, particularly in the red zone, which could lead to some career numbers for Adams if he stays healthy.

Adams has always been a touchdown machine at wide receiver, and maybe that continues with the Rams. Kyren Williams has been Los Angeles’ top touchdown scorer in the last two years but the Rams could use a wideout like Adams in the red zone.

It will be difficult for Adams to win Offensive Player of the Year with another No. 1 receiver playing alongside him in Puka Nacua. Many even believe Nacua is poised for a big 2025 season and his receiving yardage total is set higher than Adams’.

But if Adams continues scoring touchdowns at a high clip and he meshes well with Matthew Stafford, he could be in for his best season yet.
