NFL draft: Browns host Arizona State Football RB Cam Skattebo on visit

The Cleveland Browns have hosted Arizona State running back Cam Skattebo for a visit ahead of the 2025 NFL draft.

The information came from Browns defensive back Chris Edmonds, who posted a picture on Instagram of the two former Sun Devils posing in Cleveland’s weight room. The Browns are in the market for at least one running back in the draft, with Nick Chubb's status still in flux.

After an electric season and an attention-grabbing College Football Playoff performance, Skattebo quickly became one of this draft class's most intriguing running backs. In 2024, he collected 1,711 rushing yards with 21 touchdowns, averaging 5.8 yards per carry. He was also a viable receiving threat for Arizona State, recording 605 receiving yards on 45 catches. His incredible season ended at the hands of the local Ohio State Buckeyes in Round 2 of the College Football Playoff.

Skattebo is projected to go somewhere between the third and fifth rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft. Along with Skattebo, the Browns also recently hosted Ohio State running back Quinshon Judkins, another exciting prospect. While the Browns are expected to add a rookie running back for the 2025 season, we’ll see if they show increased interest in the fan-favorite Arizona State playmaker.
