NFL power rankings: Arizona Cardinals move up despite blowout loss

The Arizona Cardinals look as bad as they have this season. After a 41-22 home loss to the San Francisco 49ers, they fell to 3-7. However, somehow, in the latest NFL power rankings from USA TODAY's Nate Davis, they didn't fall. They actually moved up.

Where do they rank compared to the rest of the NFL entering Week 12?

The Cardinals, previously No. 22 after their 44-22 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, climbed one spot to No. 21.

Trey McBride could become the first tight end to ever lead a team's offense in touches, yards from scrimmage and touchdowns in a single season.

When there is no comment about the team and its play, and rankings resort or random statistical factoids, things aren't good.

They remain ahead of the Dallas Cowboys, whom they beat in Week 9, and the Cincinnati Bengals, who will be without receiver Ja'Marr Chase this week because of a suspension for spitting on Steelers cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

But even this ranking doesn't feel like any sort of consolation prize.
