Nico Hoerner had himself a special ballgame Wednesday night as the Chicago Cubs took on the Philadelphia Phillies.

Batting leadoff, Hoerner homered, drove in five runs and stole a base.

Yes, that's a rare combination -- he's only the second Cubs leadoff hitter to ever do that, according to @JayHayKid.

The first? It was 91 years ago when Augie Galan did it in 1935.

This sounds like a good excuse to us to travel down a rabbit hole to that 1935 game.

The Cubs hosted the Brooklyn Dodgers that day at Wrigley Field.

Galan's home run came against Brooklyn starter Ray Benge, and then the Cubs crushed reliever Van Mungo of the Dodgers.

Lon Warneke went the distance for the Cubs in a 13-3 final.

Galan's lineup also included the likes of Billy Herman, and Gabby Hartnett.

There really weren't a ton of memorable names involved, while it feels like the names in the Phillies-Cubs box score from Wednesday night are quite prominent.

Either way, it's history, and that's pretty darn cool.
