The USA faces off against the World as the next wave of college basketball stars meet in Portland on Saturday night at the Nike Hoop Summit.
This year's showcase will feature the nation’s top recruits, including Tyran Stokes, who is no stranger to big time competition. The No. 1 overall prospect might be undecided on his college future, but he has represented the USA in several events.
Stokes competed for USA Basketball at the 2025 FIBA U19 Men's World Cup, 2024 FIBA U17 Men's World Cup and 2023 FIBA U16 Men's AmeriCup. He’s had plenty of success by winning gold at each level. Outside of Stokes, the best guard in the nation will join him on the court. The Sporting News Player of the Year, Jordan Smith Jr., will put his talents on display before heading to Arkansas.
Some athletes who have gone on to become Olympians and NBA champions have passed through the Nike Hoop Summit. Names like Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, Anthony Davis and others.
