Notre Dame women's basketball transfer portal tracker: who's in, who's out?

The 2025 offseason was a turbulent one for Notre Dame women's basketball. The Irish lost eight of their 13 players, four of which to the transfer portal, including TCU's eventual 2026 Big 12 Player of the Year Olivia Miles.

The 2026 offseason should be much calmer for a Notre Dame squad that is riding high off its first NCAA Tournament Elite Eight appearance since 2019, going 25-11, including 12-3 after Feb. 1. Rising senior superstar Hannah Hidalgo is back for a fourth season, as is head coach Niele Ivey for a seventh.

The NCAA transfer portal window is now officially open until Monday, April 20, and although Notre Dame has not added anyone nor lost any significant players to the portal yet, this page will be one to monitor throughout the 14-day period. Any and all transactions throughout the offseason can be found below, and this story will be updated when each move is made.

As of publication, Notre Dame has 10 players confirmed for its 2026-27 roster. Let's see who the Irish add and if they lose any more.

Notre Dame women's basketball roster additions

  • The Irish have not added any transfers yet, but Hidalgo, rising senior South Bend native Kelly Ratigan, rising junior Luci Jensen and rising redshirt freshman Leah Macy are all returning. Rising redshirt senior KK Bransford is also expected back, but has not announced that publicly as of the portal opening.
  • Notre Dame is also adding five freshmen ― Jacy Abii, Jenica Lewis, Amari Byles, Bella Ragone, Isabella Sangha ― all of whom are in the SportsCenter NEXT Top 100 for the Class of 2026.

Notre Dame women's basketball roster departures

  • Four graduate students ― Malaya Cowles, Vanessa de Jesus, Iyana Moore and Gisela Sanchez ― are all out of eligibility after spending one season with Notre Dame.
  • Senior Bella Tehrani announced her "free agency" via Instagram March 31. The former Irish volleyball player spent two seasons with the women’s basketball team and played about 32 minutes in 16 total games. She has two more years of eligibility.
