One NFL analyst says Steelers can win the Super Bowl with Aaron Rodgers

The Pittsburgh Steelers are betting heavily on new starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers. General Manager Omar Khan has already said this team was built to win the Super Bowl this year. Not to just make the playoffs, not just to get a playoff win.

This Steelers team will go exactly as far as Rodgers can take them. Rodgers will be the fourth different starting quarterback in the last four seasons for the Steelers to start a year since Ben Roethlisberger retired at the end of the 2021 season.

Despite being 41 years old, at least one NFL analyst and former player believes if Rodgers plays well, the Steelers can win the Super Bowl. That would be Mark Sclereth. He talked about the Steelers on the Rick Eisen Show and said the Steelers are one of the 10 or 12 teams that can win the Super Bowl this season but it will depend on Rodgers recapturing his youth and having a big season.

Rodgers threw for 229 yards per game last season with the New York Jets. Meanwhile, the Steelers quarterbacks threw for only 192 yards per game in 2024. If the Steelers are going to be a legitimate Super Bowl contender, it's going to take a monumental effort by Rodgers.
