Oregon fans react to thrilling 18-16 Ducks win over Iowa Hawkeyes

The Oregon Ducks had every excuse in the books to lose this game if they wanted to. Three of their offensive starters were ruled out before the game, and a fourth, wide receiver Gary Bryant Jr., exited the game in the first quarter and wouldn't return.

It was pouring down rain, it was cold, and the Iowa Hawkeyes seemed to be playing with a little bit of help from the officials, something that even the broadcasting crew mentioned several times. A touchdown from Iowa with just under 2 minutes to play put the Hawkeyes up 16-15, and Dante Moore was faced with a game-winning drive with his top three leading receivers out of the game.

He bucked the excuses and went on to win the game anyway.

Thanks to a 39-yard field goal from Atticus Sappington, his third of the game, Oregon leaves Iowa City with an 18-16 victory that will keep them in the College Football Playoff hunt and give them their biggest win of the year. It was a wild game, and a fun one to watch unfold on social media.

Here's a look at how the fans reacted throughout the contest.
