Oregon wide receiver Dakorien Moore named 2025 Preseason True Freshman All-American

Oregon Ducks wide receiver Dakorien Moore has high expectations within the program as he enters his true freshman season. Nationally, the expectations continue to grow as well, as he was named to On3's Preseason True Freshman All-American team.

It should come as no surprise to see Moore's name on this list, as he was a five-star recruit and the No. 1 wide receiver in the 2025 class, per 247 Sports. He enrolled early and went through spring practices with the Ducks before impressing in the spring game.

His commitment to Oregon allows him to compete for reps right away, especially considering the injury to presumed top wideout Evan Stewart, who is expected to miss the entire campaign due to injury. An extremely explosive athlete who plays bigger than his 5'11" frame would suggest, Moore is expected to be among quarterback Dante Moore's top targets this fall.

Other true freshman wide receivers on the list include Florida State's Jayvan Boggs and Florida's Dallas Wilson.

On3's Charles Power said this about Moore: "If any wide receiver could make an impact similar to what we saw from Jeremiah Smith and Ryan Williams last fall, it’s Dakorien Moore. The former Five-Star Plus+ prospect was the clear top wide receiver prospect in the 2025 cycle, pairing elite speed and playmaking ability with outstanding ball skills. Moore has done nothing to slow down the hype since arriving in Eugene. He made big plays in the Ducks’ spring game and should be in line for significant targets this fall."

Being compared to Williams and Smith is certainly high praise for Moore, but he has all the talent and will have the opportunities this season to prove he belongs in that conversation.
