Packers inactives: RT Zach Tom is OUT vs. Bears in NFC Wild Card

Green Bay Packers right tackle Zach Tom is inactive for Saturday's NFC Wild Card Round showdown with the Chicago Bears, dealing Matt LaFleur's team a major blow along the offensive line entering the postseason rubber match.

Tom practiced on Tuesday and Wednesday but was out for Thursday's practice, and the Packers listed him as questionable on the final injury report. Despite LaFleur expecting Tom to play to start the week, the Packers starting right tackle ended up not being physically ready to return from a knee injury suffered in Week 15 against the Denver Broncos. It's unclear if there was a setback, or if the knee did not respond well to practice this week.

Expect 2024 first-round pick Jordan Morgan to start at right tackle in place of Tom, who will miss his fourth straight game.

The Packers do have backup quarterback Malik Willis, slot cornerback Javon Bullard, defensive tackle Warren Brinson and linebacker/special teamer Nick Niemann active despite all four being listed as questionable.

Starting quarterback Jordan Love is back after not playing in the final two regular season games. He will play behind an offensive line missing its best player. A big spot awaits for Morgan, who will get most of the pass-blocking snaps against Bears edge rusher Montez Sweat on Saturday night.
