Packers QB Jordan Love exits showdown with Bears for concussion evaluation

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love was injured on a helmet-to-helmet hit from Chicago Bears defensive end Austin Booker and exited the game in the second quarter of Saturday's showdown at Soldier Field.

The Packers say Love is being evaluated for a concussion. If confirmed, Love would miss the rest of the contest and enter the league's concussion protocol.

Backup quarterback Malik Willis replaced Love after the injury. Booker was penalized 15 yards for roughing the passer.

Love stayed down momentarily but eventually got up and jogged off the field and into the blue medical tent for evaluation. He then walked back to the locker room without a helmet minutes later.

From Ryan Wood of PackersNews.com:

This is the second straight year that Love has been knocked out of a game with the Bears. He left last season's regular season finale against the Bears with an elbow injury.

Packers Wire will provide updates on Love's status as more is known.
