Packers were delayed 5 hours before departing Green Bay for Phoenix
PHOENIX — Better late than never.
After a five-hour delay, the plane carrying Green Bay Packers players and coaches departed for Phoenix shortly after 7 p.m. CT Oct. 18, a source confirmed to PackersNews. The flight got a late departure because of mechanical issues.
It was scheduled to arrive in Phoenix around 8:30 p.m. PT on the eve of playing the Arizona Cardinals.
The team uses two planes for road games. Its first, carrying support staff, left on time.
The second flight needed to take a new plane that was brought in from Detroit, according to ESPN.
The Packers are looking for their first road win of the season when they play the Cardinals at 3:25 p.m. CT Oct. 19.
