Prince Amukamara named to the 2025 class of the NFHS Hall of Fame

A former Nebraska All-American has been selected as a member of the 2025 NFHS National High School Hall of Fame class. Prince Amukamara will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on June 30 in Chicago.

Amukamara played at Nebraska from 2007 to 2010. In 49 career games, he recorded 161 tackles and five interceptions. In his senior year, he allowed only 18 completed passes on 52 attempts in his direction.

Following that season, he was named a unanimous All-American and Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year. He was also a finalist for the Jim Thorpe award.

Amukamara was selected 19th overall in the 2011 draft by the New York Giants. He would win Super Bowl XLVI as a member of the G-men. He would also spend time with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Chicago Bears, Las Vegas Raiders, Arizona Cardinals and New Orleans Saints.

The former Husker is being honored for his career at Apollo High School in Glendale, Arizona. Amukamara played football, basketball, and track and field while in high school.
