Raiders make several starters inactive for their Week 5 game vs the Colts

This week's inactives are a gut punch for the Raiders. They had three starters who were questionable and all three are inactive -- Brock Bowers, Michael Mayer, and Eric Stokes. And one starter who was ruled out for non-injury reasons on Saturday -- Germaine Pratt.

Eric Stokes suffered a knee injury in the team's Week four loss to the Bears. He was limited all week and, despite Pete Carroll saying Stokes wanted to return to the game, he will be unable to go today. He figures to be replaced by Darien Porter.

Germaine Pratt didn't make the trip for non-injury related reasons. He should be replaced by a combination of Jamal Adams and Tommy Eichenberg.

Brock Bowers has been dealing with a knee injury for a few weeks, and missed the last two practices. Michael Mayer suffered a concussion two weeks ago that cause him to miss last week's game. It was thought that he would be ready for this one, but apparently not, Ian Thomas will start at tight end with recently added undrafted rookie Carter Runyon getting some reps and practice squad elevation Albert Okwuegbunam as the number three.
