Rams named as a 'true Super Bowl contender' by Pro Football Focus
There is a lot of optimism around the Los Angeles Rams just months after they lost to the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Divisional round by less than a touchdown. Many key players returned, and the Rams are all-in on the 2025 season after deciding to Matthew Stafford and sign receiver Davante Adams.
Pundits have the Rams rankedthroughout the top 10 of NFL teams, and Pro Football Focus' Dalton Wasserman believes L.Al is a "true Super Bowl contender" in 2025.
"They have loaded up to make one more run at a championship. Matthew Stafford and left tackle Alaric Jackson stuck around after having opportunities to depart, while the team added pieces like wide receiver Davante Adams and interior defender Poona Ford to fill some of the few holes in their roster," Wasserman wrote. "The Rams head into 2025 as legitimate NFC contenders."
Moving on from veteran wideout Cooper Kupp was sad, but it appears to have been based on production and durability over sentiment. Adams is a better overall pass-catcher who's been healthy his entire NFL career. Ford was the missing link on the interior of the defensive line after the Rams let Saquon Barkley run all over them in the playoffs.
Now, L.A. just has to put it all together in 2025. The NFC is rife with talent between the Eagles, Washington Commanders, Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers, and the rest of the NFC West cannot be ignored, either.
