Rams RB Kyren Williams off injury report, good to go vs. Cardinals
Fantasy football managers, breathe easy. Kyren Williams won’t miss any time with the ankle injury he suffered last week against the Carolina Panthers.
Williams was a full participant in practice on Friday and is officially off the injury report, meaning he will play against the Arizona Cardinals this weekend. He exited last week’s game in the second quarter but was able to return and finish the afternoon with 72 yards on 13 carries with one touchdown.
Williams said after the loss to Carolina that he’d be fine for Week 14, but that was no certainty – especially before even suiting up for practice. He was limited on Wednesday and Thursday before participating fully on Friday.
Blake Corum remains his backup and the Rams’ clear-cut No. 2 option at running back, leading the team in rushing with 81 yards on seven carries last week, also scoring a touchdown. The Rams will continue to rotate their running backs moving forward in an attempt to keep both of them fresh, but Williams remains the starter.
This season, Williams has 868 yards and seven rushing touchdowns to go with 184 yards receiving and three more touchdowns. He’s now scored double-digit touchdowns in each of the last three years.
