The Los Angeles Rams made it to the NFC Championship game as the NFC's 5th seed, but came up short against the Seattle Seahawks in a heartbreaking loss.
Sean McVay was reeling after the game, and it's hard not to understand him. One fumble on a punt return, or a dropped pass being a catch instead might've turn this loss into a win. It was a crushing loss, and a week later, McVay is still hurting.
Greg Beacham of The Associated Press shared that McVay is still struggling to come to terms with the loss, so much so that he might not even watch the Super Bowl between the Seahawks and the New England Patriots.
Sean McVay uncertain if he'll watch Seahawks-Patriots Super Bowl
"I don't know," McVay said when asked if he'd watch the Super Bowl. "I might punish myself. That game the other day probably hurt more than any loss I've ever been a part of, and it's because of the love for the team. So I don't know that I'll be tuning in for this one."
Losing in the playoffs is tough enough as it is, especially in the NFC Championship. But when it's against a hated division rival, and a very avoidable loss, it's so much harder to stomach the Super Bowl.
The Rams organization and the fans likely feel they easily could've been in the Super Bowl instead of the Seahawks. Seeing Seattle in the Super Bowl will only make the loss two weeks ago sting a lot more.

A blowout win for the Seahawks would make things even worse for the Rams, as it would mean the Rams likely could've beaten the Patriots in blowout fashion as well, with how they've played the Seahawks close.
But, regardless of who wins between the Patriots and Seahawks, knowing that they were just one bounce, one catch, or one play away from playing in the Super Bowl will make things that much more painful for the Rams.
McVay not wanting to watch the Super Bowl is entirely understandable. The NFC Championship loss has hurt him in a big way, and there will likely be many Rams fans and personnel who feel the same way.
