Robert Griffin III Makes Bold Shedeur Sanders Prediction
Heading into the 2025 NFL season, Shedeur Sanders will be one of the most talked about names in the league. After being selected in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL draft at No. 144 overall by the Cleveland Browns, Sanders has still been a heavy talking point around the NFL.
Some believe he will win the starting job during his tenure with the Browns, while others think he might not even make the roster.
Another name has spoken out with a bold prediction about Sanders' future.
Former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III took to social media on Monday. In a post on X, he offered his thoughts about Sanders and made a prediction about the young quarterback as well.
"Shedeur Sanders is the most popular rookie in the NFL and is being set up to fail in year 1," he wrote.
Griffin's full post offers more of his thoughts about the former Colorado standout. He does not see a great situation for Sanders, but expects him to rise above those tough situations and find a way to succeed.
"BUT if there was one young man built to overcome it and succeed. It's Shedeur Sanders," he wrote.

Speaking of the crowded quarterback room in Cleveland, the Browns have Sanders, Dillon Gabriel, Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and Deshaun Watson on the roster. They are going to have a very large quarterback competition early in the year.
Despite all of the things going against him, Sanders is focused on playing football and winning his time on the field. He has the talent and potential to be a long-term franchise quarterback in Cleveland if he reaches his ceiling.
Only time will tell, but he has a believer in Griffin at this point in time.
