The Patriots were in need of a wide receiver following the release of veteran Stefon Diggs, who led the team with 1,013 receiving yards in the team's run to Super Bowl LX.
Doubs spent the first four years of his career with the Green Bay Packers as a former fourth-round pick of the 2022 draft class.
He is coming off a career year with the Packers, totaling a career-high 724 receiving yards, which led the team in the 2025 season. He also tied for a team-high six receiving touchdowns on the way to a 9-7-1 record and wild-card berth for Green Bay.
