Good morning, LSB.

Kevin Sherrington writes that after the opening day thud Jacob deGrom is here to save the season and possibly the world.

Jeff Wilson tells the story of how Andrew McCutchen went from a “90% chance” he wasn’t playing in 2026 to starting on opening day for the Rangers.

Kennedi Landry also wrote about McCutchen and his plans and goals for Year 18 in the bigs.

Elsewhere, Grant did a live Q&A where he fielded questions from Rangers fans.

The Phillies are stacking two of the fastest players in the league on top of each other, something the Rangers had some issues with on Thursday.

And Robinson Chirinos is the latest guest on the DMN Rangers podcast, fresh off his stint with the WBC-champion Team Venezuela.

That’s all for this morning. The Rangers shoot for win No. 1 of the season today at 3:05 with deGrom on the mound for Texas.

Have a good weekend and Go Rangers!
